One Glass turns two!

Two years ago today, on a cold windy evening, two comely lasses of virtue true said goodbye to the disheartening future that lay ahead in their dimly-lit office cubicles. These young women celebrated their life changing decision a jug of cheap wine and stone-ground whole wheat crackers.
The first said to the latter: "A toast! To our future!"
The second replied: "Yes! To our indepedence!"
They went to the cupboard, but much to their chagrin...
There was only....
ONE GLASS.

Although we now have have many glasses, our virtue remains true. Happy birthday One Glass!

FilmArtFunction is not just a benefit, but a multi-platform celebration of art. The event will bring together artists of all disciplines, from painting to film, from music to performance. Creativity is something that should be shared, regardless of what medium an artist chooses. Gathering together the creative community is not only fun, but interaction also helps foster new and exciting ideas for each individual. These ideas push us forward to create innovative designs, smart entertainment, and, above all, responsible art.
--Valery Estabrook, One Glass Productions

Our mission with "Under the Bridges" is to explore recycling as an art concept in an urban setting. It is critically important at this point in our world's history to think responsibly and creatively about the vast amounts of waste we generate. The neighborhood of Dumbo itself has been re-purposed from an industrial port to a creative mecca, so this seemed like the perfect place to start on this project. The Under the Bridges' artists are not only doing their part by reducing their carbon footprint, but they're also enriching the culture of the world with their re-purposed art. By promoting these artists, we aim to increase interest in their admirable work, and encourage others to do their part in cultivating a clean and culturally rich world.

FilmArtFunction

We've given a name (and a website) to our Under the Bridges benefit. It's FilmArtFunction! Check out the new site, which features more information about the event and the entertainment therein. We are very pleased to be working with such generous artists who are donating their work for the silent auction. Artists include, Michael Ricardo Andreev, Barbara Hammer, Jana Gouchev, Mark Wiener, Emrie Brooke Foster, Dan Kainen, Janet Cristenfeld and Susan Woods. Kendra Cunningham, a NYC comedian, will be hosting the event, and Derrick Wang, a pianist, will be performing after the presentation.  It's going to be quite the celebration. Under the Bridges

I'm really excited to announce the launch of our Under the Bridges website. Valery and I have been working ridiculously hard creating the first-ever television docu-series about DUMBO, NYC.

"Under the Bridges" profiles area artists and creative businesses who exceed expectations for environmentally sustainable practices and community involvement. The goal is to increase awareness of outstanding individuals and businesses within the DUMBO community, while also emphasizing the importance of social responsibility in urban settings-- all in the form of entertainment.

In October, we will be releasing the pilot episode of "Under the Bridges" to the world in a screening celebration. The event will also show the work of local filmmakers, followed by a catered reception with live music. We are seeking volunteers, film submissions, musicians and non-monetary tax-deductible donations to make this event possible (details available on the Under the Bridges website).

Please take a moment to watch a video clip from the series-- any and all feedback is much appreciated!
