We recently did a Canon 7D test with the same kit lens. It was a pleasure shooting with it but we found that in harsh sunlight we were fighting a tough battle without a vari ND filter. Your footage looks nice. I have left a link to mine if you wouldnt mind taking a look and letting me know what you think..for future projects.

I'm thinking about getting a Fader ND Filter, so we can open up the aperture without blowing out the bright sky.
